We can sit here and argue that it is about our expectations of others but that wouldn't really be an argument because I agree with you. Where we may differ is that I believe that our expectations of ourselves are not great enough.
Yes.I know.He or she or they may have done something serious to affect you,to hurt you,to cause you emotional distress but we can only be victims in this life for so long.
It will become exceedingly difficult to control your direction in life if you always allow someone to hold the reigns.
Yes.It is comforting knowing that other people are for you and your cause.It makes us feel good to be supported.We are social creatures,however you will find that the pursuit of greatness more often than not calls us to step away and be alone,not because we want to,but because we will not be able to achieve our dreams or what is truly meant for us if we are preoccupied rallying the support of people who may not genuinely be in support of our dreams.
I can attest to the loneliness that creeps in when the people who you always thought would be around are no longer around.I believe its inevitable to experience such in life.Death and failed relationships teach us so.Problems also have a way of arising when friends are busy and unable to come to your assistance.The people who you need and would in turn like to have your back-cannot.

You are your biggest fan.All external praise if not first validated by you is null and void.You must love you.You must support you.You must have patience with you.You must trust in you.It is easy to have grand expectations of others,but we are responsible for our happiness.That is how we ensure that we are still standing when all our external support fails.Many times we have the "back" of others in hopes that they too will have our own but that is not the best way to protect ourselves.You must be there for yourself and do well by you as you would expect another individual who is offering you comfort.You will become courageous stepping into the future because you know that even when all else fails-you have you and if that isn't enough to help you sleep well at night-remember,God always has your back.
