Patience and Me

Hey Guys,

So..I decided to take a different approach this time.Today,I want to  address "Patience".

Story time!..
When I was in Grade Five,I had a teacher named Ms. Alexander. She was strict but a really really good teacher. What she plastered our classroom walls with is really the point of this short story. She had lots 'n lots of spiritual  quotes-those to motivate and enlighten. We sang this one almost everyday..

(8) For the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace,PATIENCEEE, kindness,GOODNESS,faithfulness,gentleness,self-control...for such there is no law.

I emphasized on Patience and goodness because these were the two words that really did drag on in the song and for many years in my life, patience was lacking.

Naturally, waiting is a pain
Didn't want to waste time waiting. I felt that things ought to manifest immediately, after all-time is ticking.
To more recent and perhaps relatable struggles.

In the past year..I have had to wait alottttttttttttttt!
Wait for friends who said they were on their way but weren't anywhere close.
Wait for lunch.
Wait for people to call me back.
Wait for persons who i care about...to care back.
Wait for people to come to their senses.
Wait for my dad to come home.
Wait for a lot of things.
I had to wait for a job.
I remember the excruxiating wait till they got back to me
I had to wait for Lab results from medical tests
....Point is...i have had a lot of waiting to do..and I'm sure you have had your fair share in your life aswell

Patience is that saving virtue which will do you well. I'm telling you. As someone who was easily prone to anger.I had to learn patience by force. For the only reason we wait is because sometimes,we have come to the line where we have done all we are able to do and we are "waiting"/"relying" on people to do the rest.

I found myself waiting lately for  answers. My wait seemed endless. The more I waited-the longer it seemed I had to wait. I have however, experienced a break-through in both of my pending issues.
One of the issues was with a friend and today...things seemed to be "so-so" "okay". I thought this friend might never come around-but that friend did.

The other concern was job related and for the sake of professionalism I won't mention-BUT that issue too has come to beautiful closure.

Patience has been a long and hard road to traverse but it is worth it.
You never want to move hastily in most things as all things take time.
I am not saying that you should live life sluggishly. By all means move at bullet speed towards your dreams but..if you have planted a seed, you need to wait for it to grow. This isn't jack and the beanstalk. Things will not always materialize instantly. They do sometimes..but not all times..and that is why patience is important
