The root of all unhappiness, any sort of discontentment is due to STRESS and i think its only fitting that i address this issue as I've been experiencing quite a bit of stress in my life lately.
Ladies and gents, dear readers..i think we all can relate to that unbearable aggravation experienced due to a long ,winding line in a bank or on a lunch line....the overwhelming projects and mountains of homework...the overbearing and occasionally mega grumpy boss...that awkward failing relationship that seems to have run its course but is just hanging on by the thread of initial promises made. That 9-5 job where you feel you've sold your birthright of freedom to the dogs...Home Stress,Friend(s) Stress, boyfriend stress, work stress, Ican't find something to wear stress,I'm broke stress.
I've been coping..and on other days falling flat on my back..truth be told..but for the days when I've been coping and the days when I'm feeling like a champion..I only think its fair to share.
TIP ONE.
Never under estimate the power of the mind. After a long and physically taxing day.I'd like to believe that most of us believe in the benefits and healing effects of a shower. We wash off the day and all its filthy grime and sweat and all its other elements that tried to unravel us during the day. Likewise..as water is to the body..a positive thought is to the soul and surprisingly every other aspect of your life..as it all starts from the mind. You need just one thing to look forward..One thing to detach your mind from your present predicament. Found it?..Great!!...now run with it. It could be what persons deem your far fetched fantasies..If it keeps you smiling..you think that and you think that hard.
TIP TWO
Wear something you like. If you know you're about to go into a headlock with a challenging day with the possibility of copious amounts of stress..DRESS!..i know it may sound bad or materialistic, but its one thing to have a shitty day and then another to then look to yourself and feel shitty about yourself. Most times in any stressful situation ,we're often tempted to turn on ourselves and wonder how we contributed to the issue. There stems the feelings of being incompetent and insignificant. It doesn't happen to everyone..but it happens to some..So put your best foot forward ..always...its one way to have one less thing to stress about.. Doesn't mean because you feel you're unraveling on the inside means you have to look like you're falling apart on the outside.
TIP THREE
Start over!..even if you feel like its too late..It's never too late for a mental make over...Take a few deep breaths..Have some tea..Read a good book...Call someone that you're sure can bring you joy and lighten the mood...Meditate..use some time to put things into perspective...Truth be told..some of the things that stress us out are simply compounded due to our nature to exaggerate stressful situation..something maybe stressing you out...but maybe a quarter of the mental anguish is caused by your perception of problems. Chances are what you're dealing with is not insurmountable..I'm sure you've come across situation where you felt like it was the end for you..but hey..Here you are right..
Exactly.
I knw this is brief..but thats one of the ways i deal with my stress.
Oh oh!...DANCE..yes...Random dancing does the trick...:)
