Love can be a beautiful thing..if you find the right person.
Most times we have this misconception,that we're in love when we're not..we're in something else.(perhaps infatuation).
Enjoying the relationship is easy and absolutely nothing compared to being without that person when its over.
In St.Lucia we call it Gros Pwel and believe me..its nothing easy.
If you're really close to your partner be prepared for the sleepless nights,lack of appetite,losing weight,gaining weight,eating too much,crying too much,complete and utter lack of focus and that feeling of achey stagnant fluid around your heart that makes you feel like you're choking.

Breaking up is never ever easy,not when u really really loved that person.There are ways though...to cut the sorrow short and to move on with your life.
Understand..that for a while you and your ex may not be friends.Friends can watch friends flirt with other people.You cannot watch your ex-lover give their attention to some other person and not feel bothered..it just doesn't work that way.Therefore..it is okay if you choose to not see and not be places where you know your partner will be, especially if he or she is the "make you jealous type by using other people".
Fill in the gaps. If you were the overly committed type,chances are now that your significant other is no longer part of your life...you got lots of time.That time if used badly will only lead to more grief and more self inflicted sorrow.You may use that time to read old cards,browse through pictures and grovel at your ex's feet.Stop.Don't...Fill in your schedule..Go out..meet new people..do things you never had the courage or time to do before.Make yourself happy..especially if you were the dumpee..its your job to make yourself happy..Because the way i see it..the person who did the dumping was quite prepared and started moving on long before you had any idea that your beautiful fantasy was going up in flames.
Pack up...Put the love memorabilia away.I'm not telling you to go haywire and throw away stuff that you may regret.You should however pack away stuff that haunt you.Waking up in a room fill with stuff that triggered emotions that your ex stirred in you is the first thing you feed your sub conscience..and well..you can afford to do without that morning interference.
Take the days easy and in strides as they can feel incredulously long without your ex love. Its expected that some days you may fall..you will miss that person.It happens..It's okay.You don't just wake up one morning..and in all honesty..you never really stop loving someone..you just learn to do without them,so don't approach this with the intention of "un-loving someone" but rather simply trying to get over what was and embrace the new what is.
If i said it was easy..i'd be lying to you..and i won't do that...Its hard..but after a while..it gets easier..
